Kiasyd
An inscrutable line of fey-blooded Cainites, the Kiasyd are small in number and seem to have few active relations with the Sabbat, though the sect maintains that they are members. The Kiasyd are scholars and masters of hidden lore. They generally prefer to observe rather than taking an active role in the sect's efforts. Most Kiasyd don't like to resort to physical action against an opponent, preferring enigmas and battles of wits instead. They value their knowledge and private collections, and seem to enjoy the role of "eccentric sage" that others ascribe to them. While a Kiasyd's haven is always open to her bloodline peers, Weirdlings tend to be territorial, and most cities are haven to only one, if any. They also seem to dislike competing with each other for knowledge, which makes their small numbers even more understandable; many maintain impressive collections of scrolls, books, and lore.  Regarding the Kiasyd's origins and membership in the Sabbat, many theories involve Lasombra influence. Whether the Keepers have some agreement with the Kiasyd or whether one line begot the other in nights long past is unknown. In the end, most Sabbat know of them as fell curiosities and masters of secrets that are often best left uncovered.  Kiasyd almost never join covens and adopt the lifestyle of the nomads even less frequently. They are the lore masters and keepers of secrets, tied to their havens, from which they research hoary mysteries. Every now and then, a young Kiasyd accompanies a pack on some errand or asks their protection when searching for a particular artifact, but most are loath to leave their sanctums.  The few Kiasyd that are known beyond mere shadowy reputation are elders, and the consistory may even consult  with these Cainites for their counsel. To the sect's foot soldiers, however, the Weirdlings are transitory and legendary, stories exchanged over the fires of the ritae. Still, every now and then, one emerges from his lair to utter some cryptic warning or charge a bishop with an inscrutable quest.

Roleplaying Hints: Unlife is not something to be frivolously wasted on battle or conquest. The curse of immortality can be a blessing if it is used to unravel the mysteries of the world. Still, ruthlessness has its place, and one should not hesitate to use the powers at one's command. After all, the young Cainites are thirsty, and the blood of elders, Kiasyd or otherwise, is always on their minds.  Keep them in their place with the odd bit of lore and a healthy dose of fearful respect.  Note: Because of their elder natures and sheer rarity, Kiasyd are best used as Storyteller characters.

  Disciplines: Dominate, Mytherceria, Obtenebration

Advantage: The Kiasyd often spend their unlives in search of secrets, and much of the bloodline's concept of prestige balances upon how much a given member knows. To reflect this undying thirst for knowledge, Kiasyd gain two Lore Abilities of their choice during character creation at no extra cost. This often takes the form of Kindred Lore as it is most useful, but a few Kiasyd have uncovered the practices of the Lupines or puzzled out the riddles of the Wild Ones.

Weakness: The Weirdlings seem to have some tie to the fae - cold iron causes them pain and discomfort. Simply being in the presence of iron causes the Kiasyd to suffer a one-Trait penalty on Self-Control / Instinct tests. Any damage inflicted upon a Kiasyd by an iron weapon is considered aggravated.
